This place was my favorite noodle house as I am a big fan of its beef Pakimao and Prawn Tom-yum soup. Had been here since year 2013 and yes I would say it has always been a very busy place.We (two people) were here again on Saturday night and the place was only half full. Confronted with an unprofessional staff with no willingness to serve us at all. We were told 'sorry we don't have a table now' and a full stop, and after 30 seconds eye contact she finally informed us the waiting time would be one hour, even with more than half the premise empty. A friend of mine wasn't feeling well, so I took her a laksa - I hear these are one of the best around. I personally am not a laksa fan, so I ordered the vegetable pad siew and the beef tom yum salad. The first was delicious - full of yummy tofu and veggies and not overpowered with sauce. The second, well, it's not a great takeaway dish - I remembered as I opened it that I have made this mistake before. No fault on their part though, and the rest of our food was yum. Would definitely go back.
I discovered this restaurant over 10 years ago. It keeps me coming back to Canberra time and time again. I usually plan to go to the restaurant for laksa and then find another excuse to keep me busy while I am there. The most recent trip was Sunday and again it did not disappoint. The full size combination is sooo tasty. I have that with tea and its so satisfying. I have never had anything else as the laksa is so amazing. Go there. Do not pass go; do not collect $200 just go there!!
You know this a good restaurant because it is always full! The food here is delicious. This is possibly the best Laksa in Canberra. Arrive early, because you might need to wait to get a table. For students this is a great place to eat, you get heaps of food, and it is all deliciously fantastic. Do not be put off by the "simplicity" of the restaurant, this is a part of the ambience and quirkiness of eating here. The menu is extensive, with dished from all over Asia.

Thank you to the crew at Dickson Asian Noodle house for their yummy food that my friends and I had with them last Friday. Their menu is extensive, to say the least, and cater for one who is craving westernized Chinese and the other who is craving Thai. The restaurant was busy- which is always a good sign! Recommend!!
Haven't been to this restaurant in years.....not sure why, because this place has fantastic food. Passing by today, and decided to drop in for a Laksa. The greatest thing was that they have half size Laksas. Perfect portions, and absolutely delicious. Will be coming back really soon!!
Still hands down the best laksa in Canberra. Been there so many times and the chicken laksa never disappoints. I'm craving it right now. You go there for the food, not the service or the decor (but wait staff have always been pleasant to me, so I can't complain about them).
Only ever had take away and it's quick and delicious. They are renowned for laksa and it certainly is good. Only gripe is that every time we order it costs more than the menu price and I have no idea why. Even with it costing more than expected it's still good value.

I have been eating at the Dickson noodle house quite a lot. Excellent noodles and decent stir fries and rice dishes.
