We ate at this restaurant during a weeklong stay in Herford, visiting our daughter who lived there at the time. It was a birthday celebration for my wife and we walked to the restaurant, located just off the inner ring road in central Herford. Blessed...with a warm, sunny evening, we opted to sit outside; the restaurant was pretty dead on a Wednesday evening and I think there may only have been another three or four tables occupied during the evening. The Alte Schule is quiet pricey compared to most of the other restaurants located in Herford so not sure if that had anything to do with it. as already in the title, I chose tonight the same combination of food and drinks as at my last visit. hauptgang kalbsleber with chianti and espresso rounded. probably because of football night theremund against lissabon extremely little operation - good for us; the service was used professionally to take care of us. not excluded by numerous service trips in 2017.

if you want to go to eat something more healthy, this is the right address in herford. the food and the wee are good, priced in the top class. the service is rather stiff, as is the atmosphere - you must like that. suitable for a quiet evening, for an abandoned company rather not.

Fantastic cuisine and sizeable portions too unless you are really hungry you will not need a starter and a main course. Great for celebrating a special occasion, quite expensive but outstanding value for money. Réservez une table maintenant

eating here is some of the best in herford. the place is `old school` classy and the staff are friendly and polite. my only reservation is that it is quite expensive according to German restaurant standards.
