With friends we stayed a few days ago at dinner at the so-called speciality house Die Gerbe in Donaueschingen. We ordered through the menu. Just UNFASSBAR what got us up there... the big potato with Quark was all right... the other dishes were a catastrophe. Salted croquettes... an alleged pumpkin soup whose taste was quite funny... stashed cola... the absolute hit was the pancake with vegetables and cheese or Soße Hollandaise... look at the pictures of an absolute (Fr)e trash. After a change in November 2018, the restaurant is now called Gerbe Ristorante Olio e Pane Oil and Bread. We went on Sunday afternoon at 5:00. The restaurant is tastefully decorated in green and white colours. It has two floors. On the lower floor is the bar in the middle. The tables stand outside and are tight. We liked the atmosphere. The menu consists mainly of burgers and pizzas. We were kindly received. It was just a table with four people. There were other guests after us. We ordered two mixed additional salads each 4,70€ and two pizzas each 11€. The salads were fresh with green salad, carrots, tomatoes fourth with balsamico. The marinade tasted us. We'd like more salads. No bread was...
The barley is mediocre in any relationship. Supplemental salad mini, the 250 g steak listed in the map looks like 170g on the plate. The croquettes were good, the portion overall has not been enough to be set. Greater salad plate would have been okay. The sauces were rather thin and partly inappropriate (pilz sauce to scampis). The ambience (we were on the upper floor) was perhaps modern in the 80s... Huge cable shafts, at the end an empty radiator receptacle. On the beams, light bulbs concealed the actually beautiful ambience. I felt comfortable at this restaurant 20 years ago. Someone has to take money in here urgently. And someone would have to go to the chef and give some tips.
We were assigned a table in the upper part. Since we were repeatedly reminded that our children (2) should not be so loud, we did not feel welcome. Children can't even laugh here and have fun. They didn't yell around or cry. Just incredible! At dessert there were hot cherries, a cold cherry pamp. Staff unfriendly. Very bad! Ambience good, asparagus salad delicious. Nevertheless, I will not recommend the restaurant!

we were only recently in this restaurant as we have read that there was a change of pance. Unfortunately, this has not really changed anything. Eating was not really intoxicating. when we were asked how that was eating and we were honestly answering, we got a patty answer and finished. so we were for our part now the last time there.
The grape is a special restaurant known for 19 years in donaueschingen and surroundings. a great atmosphere prevails in this house. wood where the eye looks. the service is very good as well as the food. here meet all the vintages.Every Sunday morning from 10 o'clock there is brunch, ga makes it fun to sleep
Unfriendly hostess. (after I gave the minced ball back to the kitchen because it was served in raw and charred outside, the lady said instead of apologising: we do not make this really bad food for the first time, absolutely overpriced. Never again! Not recommended.

The services were unfortunately very slow and incompetent. The food was very high, but in the implementation means more. No criticism was accepted. Very bad and never again!
A very friendly and funny staff. The lunch table is suuuper. Evening kitchen is fantastic. We've been doing our Christmas party for years.
