With friends we stayed a few days ago at dinner at the so-called speciality house Die Gerbe in Donaueschingen. We ordered through the menu. Just UNFASSBAR what got us up there... the big potato with Quark was all right... the other dishes were a catastrophe. Salted croquettes... an alleged pumpkin soup whose taste was quite funny... stashed cola... the absolute hit was the pancake with vegetables and cheese or Soße Hollandaise... look at the pictures of an absolute (Fr)e trash. In the past, the cook tipped half a bowl over the pancake with the vegetables. It is self-evident that we have charged the entire food to the competent service. We were assigned a table in the upper part. Since we were repeatedly reminded that our children (2) should not be so loud, we did not feel welcome. Children can't even laugh here and have fun. They didn't yell around or cry. Just incredible! At dessert there were hot cherries, a cold cherry pamp. Staff unfriendly. Very bad! Ambience good, asparagus salad delicious. Nevertheless, I will not recommend the restaurant!
