It is located at the side of the cityhall of Herford. The interior is very cozy, with small corners around a bar in the center. The menu card is long, all kind of dishes with potatoes, which gives the restaurant its name. The food is...good and quite big. They serve senior size dishes. Drinks of all kinds available. The prices are very reasonable. On weekdays they serve special dishes.

Die Knolle is a potato restaurant in the town of Herford in Northern Germany. The service is class, even to the point of speaking English and having menu cards in English and Dutch. My meal, which was on the upper limit of price and...a large German beer came to just over At no time were we rushed, the staff were very attentive without intruding. We'll worth a visit.

We have eaten in this restaurant many many times and never had anything ut good tasting great value meals. The ribs are to die for (especially on the all you can eat night) and every dish is hot and filling. Of special note are the...lunches. They are again great Value For Money and

everything comes with kartoffels so knolle or tuber large rumpsteak and pfifferlings in season, cheap prices and good service, international quantity, informal dress, pleasant atmosphere, plentiful parking in the rathaus hof.
