Booked a table using the restaurant’s online system, 24 hours before our visit. We informed them that there would be one vegan. When we arrived we received a frosty welcome, the host looked horrified that I was vegan. She stomped off into the kitchen came back saying all I could have was salad, sorry (but really unapologetic). She snapped that we should have called in person as they only have a small kitchen really no idea what relevance to anything this had it certainly wouldn’t have a) affected her ability to be welcoming polite; or b) a good chef’s ability to make a creative delicious plant based meal. ...the food is really ok in taste...but nothing out of this world, and the portions are really small...take a little bit of salad with 2 2cm diameter pumpkin slices and some pumpkin cream on top plus some goat cheese on the side for over 15 Euros...or a super-frozen, in alcohol bathing soufflé for 12 Euro...you pay 80 Euros for 2 (small) appetizers, 1 dessert, a glass of wine and 2 bottles of water...usually not too much of an issue if the food is really really extraordinary. In this case...too expensive.

This is a great Restaurant with excellent food. the menu is changing regularly so you might not get the Beef cheek wich was extremely tender and tasty. The dessert and starter were excellent. The atmosphere is fine dining, but not too formal, the right mx of casual and fine dining. the serves were bigger than you would expect from the wording of the menu, quite generous but high quality. i can really strongly recommend to go there.

Visited with a mixed group of 8 work colleagues from Switzerland, UK and the US and had a superb Meal. Great surroundings, good service and the food was amazing quality. Would highly recommend.

Die Scheuer has provided a takeout menu during the Covid-19 crisis. The food is always top; I love the Feld Salat. Friendly service, great food.
