We think this is the best restaurant in Hofheim. It is located in an old "Fachwerk" - house with old German interior in the middle of the old centre of Hofheim am Taunus. They have a very nice and quiet beergarten as well, although it is only 30 meters from the marketplace. On this square there is a market every Wednesday and Saturday - morning. The plates are German high quality, but different then you'll will find elsewhere. The prices are more than average, between 15 and 25 € for a plate, but you can also find offers. (E.g. Lunch menu 2 courses for around 19,- or in the evening a 4 courses menu for 56,-)You really have to try this restaurant !
Typical family restaurant in the typical german village. For those who know only the the street number as a address, the place could not be very easy to find. You may choose the outdoor sitting, which could be very good idea, because the nearest restaurant's surroundings are separated from main pedestrian zone by range of buildings. Thus, sitting at the table only a little of eyes watch what you eat.The staff is extremely helpful and hospitable. Menu is short but everybody could find something for himself. Definitely, I could recommend that restaurant.
eating is really okay in taste. but nothing from this world, and the portions are really small. take a little salad with 2 2cm diameter pumpkin slices and some pumpkin cream top plus some goat cheese on the side for over 15. Euros...or a super-friend, in alcohol bath soufflé for 12 euro. they pay 80 euro for 2 (small) starters, 1 dessert, a glass wein and 2 bottle water. Usually not too much of a problem when eating is really extraordinary. in this case. too expensive.
This is a great Restaurant with excellent food. the menu is changing regularly so you might not get the Beef cheek wich was extremely tender and tasty. The dessert and starter were excellent. The atmosphere is fine dining, but not too formal, the right mx...of casual and fine dining. the serves were bigger than you would expect from the wording of the menu, quite generous but high quality. i can really strongly recommend to go there.

visited with a mixed group of 8 working mates from Switzerland, Great Britain and the Usa and had an excellent meal. great environment, good service and eating was amazing quality. would highly recommend.
Obviously a great favorite of locals because they were very busy yet took great care to make our experience a special one.
