Still hungry after downing a whole bowl of egg noodles, 8 won tons and all the soup from Won Ton Ton, I walked Eight Street seeking more food. I spied on the chef at Dim Sum busy making up fresh dumplings. Making a bee-line to the cashier I ordered a serve of 6 pan fried pork dumplings for $8.80.
I notice their menu has been reduced. I loved their steamed orange pumpkin dumplings and yellow squash dumplings. Alas, they were too time consuming to make so they were removed from the menu. While waiting for my dumplings I took photos of their store front and menu items for sale.
Soon, my order was ready and I rushed back to my table of friends who had finished their meals. Etiquette required...
had a quick lunch here 8 street of garden city on Eastermontag public celebrations. due to the previous closed for the trade anzac tag, there were many buyers who extremely busy the traffic. it was our vegetarian day so ordered a bowl of hot sour soup, veg spring rolls, steamed veg dumplings and chive pancakes. knödel and pancakes were made for orders, so it took a little longer to wait. after said that food kept their uniform standard and the chive pancakes were heroes of the day. next time they became our a-must order. previous rating: 4/5 nov 2020; 4/5 feb 2019; 3/5 aug 2018
Food actually tastes quite good but I've had to give a 1 purely on poor hygiene. While I waited for my order I witnessed the lady at the register handle money, drink from her water bottle, play with her hair then walk over to the food prep section and begin making dumplings with her bare hands without any form of washing her hands or sanitising in any way. She repeated this 3 more times. When I said something she just smiled at me ???????? Yuck!
A shrimp dumplings with spicy peanut sauce was quite nice for a quick easy lunch. Liked the thin dumpling skin and smooth marinated fillings. The sauce was just needed a bit more seasoning; could just tasted a little touch of chilli.
For a record, if one choose to offer a counter service, selecting a welcoming and customer minded attitude staff is important. The girl at the counter didn't want to invite any customers, I guessed.

tried the No.7 garnel pork with chili sauce and peanut butter 10pc for $11.99 they enjoy the piece kick from this court that I found out later is from sichuan origin, which they call in these parts as canton. I don't think the edible butter is traditional, but it adds another dimension to the sauce and gets one of me.
I've been here several times. the pan fried rolls are among the best they can get in brisbane. I like the crispy floor and the slightly soupy meatball filling the slb. was cold and not juicy. I saw them cook on the back with frozen. not asked.
These dumplings and pan fried pork buns are very lacklustre. Quite bland and just plain. Maybe my standards are high because of my favourite place, New Shanghai. But the food at Dim Sum is just eh. Edible but nothing worth returning for.
Went out with my cousin so we wanted something light and easy so ordered a beef brisket noodle in tomato soup package which include the pan fried dumpling. Noodle soup was quite good and I liked the dumpling. Good meal decent price...

phuong darn to go to the 8 street for lunch, decides for a portion pan fried pork buns 10.90) freshly prepared, these rolls are soft with a chewing golden-brown floor. the chop meat is fresh and the engraving is delicious. thanks!
Really like the juicy mini dumplings! I always come back for it. It's as its described, juicy! Good location for me at 8 Street Garden City Westfield as I live nearby.
