I can't rate this place highly enough. At first I was very confused (you walk in through what felt like an Irish pub , but that's where the confusion ends, and the good time starts. Dimitri's is a fantastic Greek restaurant. We went as a group of 6 the night before my wife's 40th birthday. We were treated brilliantly by the staff, and the food was utterly incredible. We sat in the atrium which was warm and comfortable and it made a great first impression . However when we were taken to our table we were just left to our own devices. We weren’t even offered a drink to start. After reviewing the menu I had to catch the attention of a member of staff to place our order. We ordered the fish and meat platters. When the food arrived it was tepid and did not give the impression it had just been freshly cooked at all. Very disappointing. First visit. Didn’t realize there was a separate bar in the front! Good to know for future. Ordered 2 mezes to share as starters. Potatas bravos and garlic mushrooms very tasty as we were hungry. I had chicken kebab I enjoyed. Just about finished it! My husband had spicy lamb kebab which was very filling and more spicy than he realised but did enjoy (had indigestion later though whoops). He didn’t manage his chips unlike me! Would recommend and return. Asked for bill as we had to rush for train and it was brought very promptly so thank you.
We visited here recently whilst on a night out in Manchester. We have been several times before, a couple of times for just drinks and a couple of times for food. I literally cannot recommend it highly enough. I love Greek food and it never disappoints. Last night we chose the meaty sharing platter and it was lovely and more than enough for the 2 of us. While the atmosphere boasts a pleasant ambiance with a quirky design, our expectations for fresher ingredients or staff recommendations were unmet. The heavily seasoned food didn't quite impress, the pricing for the food is unreasonable for the options offered. Unfortunately, the drinks are on the pricier side. Overall, it's not a place I'd hurry to revisit.
Excellent, authentic food. The tastes were excellent. Pricing was good (ie not too expenseive) Service was prompt and friendly. I would mention to take an extra layer if you are seated in the courtyard area not cold but not inside restaurant type warmth. We had it recommended to us, and we will definitely be going back again.
