Just because it’s cold outside doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy boba! I was happy to see that Ding Tea West Covina offers a special section on their menu for hot drinks, with about 60% of their milk teas available hot or cold. Although I was tempted to try a hot taro or jasmine milk tea, I ended up choosing the hot ginger milk tea ($4.35) from the hot drinks menu. I upgraded to a large for $0.79 and added golden boba, which is usually $0.79 but free with a Yelp check-in. They also allowed me to use my reusable metal tumbler for the hot drink, which was awesome! The drink was genuinely hot—at first, I could only take small sips and couldn’t enjoy the boba. My go-to boba place. Their service is amazing and fast. I usually order a Jasmine Green milk tea with rainbow jelly. I'm not sure why, but rainbow jelly has been available for free lately and I absolutely love it. I am so happy they have an option for less sugar and ice, it's not very usual for other boba places I've tried. The inside is very nice and clean. It's a good place to study (it's usually very quiet) with the occasional person playing some video game system that's available. They also have board games available in the back which is pretty awesome if you're looking for a place to socialize with friends.
I was in the neighborhood and stopped by to grab some oolong milk tea. I typically enjoy Ding Tea, and this location did not let me down. The service was excellent—quick and precise. I didn’t have to wait at all since I arrived right when they opened. Parking can be a bit tricky, but it’s not a huge issue. There’s plenty of art and interesting things to look at while you wait for your order or if you want to hang out for a bit. I hope this review is helpful. Just showing some love for a local gem. I've visited Ding Tea West Covina a few times to try their medium-sized brown sugar milk tea with boba. There are a few things I like about the drink—the flavor is enjoyable, but honestly, it tastes like just sweetened cold milk tea. The shop itself is small, clean, and the staff are friendly. On a personal note, I would rate it 6/10 rather than a perfect score. I'm not sure how they could improve since others might really love the flavor. Everyone has their own taste, so this is just my opinion. Their menu offers a variety of options worth exploring.

I ordered a drink that was heavily overpriced, with the boba being just as costly. Expecting a quality experience, I was very disappointed by the small size and the fact that the drink had only around ten boba pearls, which disappeared after just two sips. While the restaurant may not set prices or portions, they should be ashamed to serve so little boba at a place that prides itself on it. I wouldn’t recommend this place unless you’re up for a letdown.
I recently tried the three milk teas with sea foam from Ding Tea Boba, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. The boba was perfectly cooked—chewy without being too firm. The tea was rich in flavor, and the milk added a lovely creaminess. The sea foam on top was a fantastic touch, giving the drinks a unique texture. The staff was friendly and very accommodating too. I will definitely be ordering from Ding Tea Boba again!
This is definitely my favorite boba tea place! It's my top choice for Ding Tea. The drinks are consistently excellent and always made perfectly—I've never had a wrong order here. I love the many customization options available, and Ding Tea has a vast selection of flavors. There's always something new to sample. My go-to order is peach green tea with half ice, lychee jelly, and golden boba!
I ordered five drinks, and four of them were significantly watered down. The Monster boba mostly tasted like milk, while the others were essentially just ice. Prices are going up, yet both the quantity and quality are decreasing. I won't be returning to spend my money here again.

Ding Tea was a wonderful spot to stop by. The service was outstanding, and the ambiance was warm and welcoming. I ordered the Grapefruit Black Tea, but it was a tad too sweet for my taste. I’m looking forward to trying the Oolong Milk Tea next, as it looked much more enticing.
