My favorite place for a vegan Bánh Mì, the first place we stop in Pacifica before we hit the beach. This sandwich takes me back to childhood. I disagree with the haters, the fried tofu shred is awesome and growing up Viet I like it in my sandwich as a garnish.
The crispy tofu banh mi was not what I anticipated. It consisted of small, fried tofu strips mixed with crunchy noodles and mayo, and it was really greasy. I was expecting a thick, marinated piece of tofu with a crispy exterior instead.
Every time I find myself in San Francisco I always need to stop and get a sandwich! My order is a shaking beef sandwich with watermelon lychee smoothie. Add some sriracha on the sandwich ?
They also had a Beef Kare-Kare sandwich (Filipino flavor with a pinch of shrimp paste on side). This now my favorite spot for Vietnamese sandwiches in the whole SF Bay Area. Réservez une table maintenant
This is just a little sandwich shop with a small amount of seating mostly outdoors but the sandwiches are great and the service was quick
Solid food and solid service. I always enjoy their sandwiches at Ocean, so I went to check their Pacifica location.
The banh-mi was average and the rolls were decent, but the service was really slow!
