I think this restaurant doing pretty well because of the location but otherwise... I did not find it that special. The food was tasty, great amount but no wow effect at all. My black beans soup is exactly the same if I made it myself. As we arrived there we had a drink in the bar until our table was ready. The view that everybody is talking about is OK. Not breathtaking. Like a view from any 7th floor anywhere. Well yes, you might not have the St. Stephen cathedral front of you... blocking the view but... :) I think I am an average size of guy but the table that we got seemed a bit big to me... this restaurant is up on the 6th floor and with a beautiful balcony. the sunset was lovely.such interesting food to choose from. definitely make a reservation. there is fish, meat, sushi, vegetarian dishes. all were fabulous. not cheap but by ny standards very reasonable. 4 of us paid under $120 american. that included drinks, appetizers, entre, desserts and coffee.
I had my birthday dinner here and the experience was sublime. The staff/service was friendly, efficient, and the food was top notch. I wanted to try an Austrian white wine, the Sommelier was very knowledgeable, and her recommendation was spot on. If in Vienna again, I would definitely go back. I even heard the current Chancellor eats here often.
We didn't eat there but had some drinks before dinner. The place is nice and the view is fantastic. The service was excellent and our cocktails were delicious. I really recommend this place to begin or end an evening in town center.

We took a sit in the bar just to have a (quite expensive) drink. The very special atmosphere, luxury and mostly the stunning view of St Stephen's cathedral facade completely justified our choice.

Maybe this is my favourite restaurant in Viena for now. Perfect view, absolutely delicious food and also the location is great.
