By far, the best Vietnamese restaurant in Edmonton. I have eaten at many Vietnamese restaurants in various cities in North America and Doan's is definitely the best I have eaten in. Mainly because of quality, consistency and very unique flavours. I base all other Vietnamese restaurants on how they compare with Doan's. If I go with a group, we usually share full orders of the Chicken Curry, Singapore Noodles, Lemongrass Beef and a Vegetable and/or Seafood dish, with large sides of steamed rice. I've been here few times already and the experience was not exceptional, but I decided to visit them again as I was around the neighborhood.I ordered a 3 colors rice vermicelli and it was kind of plainThe chicken fried rice that my friend ordered was salty and kind of super dry.I like that there is no limit on the fish sauce but that was all.Server was super slow, came to check on just once and it was close to the end of the meal even when the place was not busy at all.They have a big space if you are looking for a place to visit with a group and to hang around. There is tons of parking space outside of the restaurant so you don't have to worry about that.
If you like fresh then this is the place to go. Their menu offers choices you wouldn't believe. The best salad rolls I have ever had and their entrees are always prepared perfectly and are so fresh. When you walk in you are greeted with amazing smells from the kitchen. You can get mild choices as well as spicy. Many vegetarian choices too. By far the best Vietnamese food I have had anywhere. The staff are welcoming and attention to your table is exceptional. I highly recommend at visit to either Doans locations.
This restaurant offers a casual blend of Canadian and Asian cuisine. We enjoy the combo meals for their value, but we've noticed many others enjoying the delicious Asian bowls. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with plenty of comfortable bench and soft seating. The interior is spacious and the service is good. The food tastes healthy and fresh, making it a reliable choice for a casual meal with family.

I go to Doans frequently for dinner with my girlfriend. I am a very adventurous eater and have tried many different items on the menu; All of which have been amazing. I highly recommend any of the curry dishes.The service is awesome too. They grab cold water for you as soon as you walk in the door as they seat you.Over all this is my favorite restaurant in Edmonton!
Very well located restaurant with an extensive menu which boasts items for everyone. The prices are also very affordable and the staff are knowledgeable and customer oriented. Will definitely be going back and bringing friends along with me.
Staff and service was fabulous. Food is hot, flavourful, and there was an appropriate amount of waiting time. We have consistently enjoyed Doan's with family, due to the positive experience we continue to have.
Never disappoints. Fantastic won ton soup. Love their vermicelli bowls. My favourite is the tofu lemongrass but options for chicken, pork or beef make these a good choice for a fast lunch.
