Doc's Seafood Shack Oyster

We ate a Doc?s while on vacation in June of 2022. We had been to a now closed location in Gulf Shores some 18 years ago. This location, while older and quaint, was very clean and the service was very good. My wife is not one for the ?Mom and Pop? type establishments, but I talked her into it. The waitress was Smiley and friendly. She took our drink orders and came back with a picture of both. For the record, I do not understand why more restaurants don?t do this. Filling drink glasses only busies the server and can be very frustrating for the customer if you can?t get refills. Anyway, I liked that. She then came out with little sauce cups, and one had a dab of Horse Radish. Then she began to explain how to make your own Cocktail Sauce. Her instructions where clear and we had a fun time doing it. I have to say, that was the best Cocktail Sauce I have every had! The food came promptly, and everything was very good. There is a second location on Perdido Beach Blvd. We?ll have to try it next time. Worth a try!

First time for my wife and I to visit Doc's Seafood. Great experience. We arrived about 7:00 p.m. during rush hour,but only had to wait about 10 minutes. Our server (Shandra) was very friendly and did a great job for us! I had a fried combo platter (fish, shrimp, and oysters) with fries and cole slaw. My wife got a pound of boiled shrimp with new potatoes. I also got a small cup of gumbo. Everything was prepared properly and quickly. The shrimp, both fried and boiled, and the gumbo were especially outstanding!

Looked this place up on vacation and decided to give it a whirl! Seated rather quickly, even during the lunch rush. We a super friendly server and got our drinks and order taken quickly. It was plenty of food, my gosh it was a lot. I had the fried crab cakes with fried shrimp, the cakes were large and the shrimp extra plump. The girlfriend said the fried chicken was the best she ever have had. Fast place, yet Great food, you won't be disappointed.

we ate here after our friends recommended it, and we really enjoyed it. we had a seafood plate where we could select four items for $31. I think it was worth it. we have fried fish, fried garnels, grilled garnels and 2 filled crumbs. everything was delicious! the stuffed crab was as good as we ever were somewhere. this is a place they will love when they look for seafood.

that is the second vacation my family could not eat in this restaurant anymore. the waitress was so friendly that the drinks were good and eating great. we'll come by here anytime we come to visit.
