A truly lovely and down to earth pub. Dog friendly, good range of real ale and good delicious menu. We were drawn to the pub as it was closest to where we were staying and with the awful weather we thought it best not to travel to far. A good result all round. Great food, great atmosphere and good evening

My Wife says one of the best Sunday dinners she’s had in ages, she had the beef which cam with a lovely Yorkshire pudding and good selection of vegetables, I opted for the special steak and ale pie and chips, good selection of cask ales and friendly and polite staff.

Lovely pub and usually excellent food sadly not this visit salmon in tomato sauce was way to overpowering didn’t even taste the salmon !!! Fish was ok but soggy the only nice thing was the pie

i came on today at lunch time and absolutely loved it. I walked in and no one was there but the man out front was going above and beyond for me, my mum and my sister. Excellent service.

Good menu choices and very generous portions. Good selection of ales. Child and dog friendly. Nice play area at the rear and outdoor seating.
