I would definitely return after my first experience at the restaurant. I was surprised it wasn’t busier on a Saturday night, but that just meant we had plenty of space and no waiting time! The staff was incredibly friendly, and our waitress was fantastic—very personable and attentive. Our group of three ordered a soft pretzel as an appetizer, a salmon dish, and two chicken Caesar salads. I had my chicken blackened, and I loved it; I couldn’t stop talking about the croutons! We also ordered two brownie sundaes, but I wish we had realized how large they were because one would have been plenty to share. I discovered this fantastic spot by chance! After my interview, I decided to stop by to relax and grab a quick bite. The atmosphere was very laid-back, and there were TVs showing sports at the bar. Our server was quick and super friendly! I thoroughly enjoyed my food and drink, and I’ll definitely be coming back. Plus, while I was dining, I received the news that I got the job! This place will always have a special spot in my heart—especially since our server helped us celebrate with shots!
I visited on a relatively quiet Friday night after happy hour to get a late dinner. Dogfish has gone through some changes with consolidating their menu in the past couple of years and closing their Falls Church location. The vibe at the Fairfax location looks distinctly local with mostly people from the surrounding neighborhoods gathering, including families. This was my first visit to Dogfish for our school's PTA donation night, and I want to express my gratitude to them for supporting Greenbriar East every year and being such a great neighbor. If you're looking for a place to relax, I recommend stopping by for one of their IPAs and enjoying the patio. A special thanks to Sean, Kat, and Ben for the excellent service. I've found my new favorite local spot!
Perhaps we came in on a bad night...our server was barely around. We'd have to flag her down for a drink order. Food was ok, nothing really special. The dessert killed it for me. This is the apple crisp dessert..lol nothing like what I read from the menu. How could they charge ppl for this? Dessert should be Happy happy...not sad.
I haven't visited this place in a while, but it seems like the menu has changed, and it's fantastic! The steak sandwich I had was the best I've ever tasted. I went for lunch and enjoyed dining on the patio since it was a beautiful autumn day. I can't wait to return!
