I was already in the store waiting to order baked goods. the couple before me ordered a lot of different baked and then told me the girl waiting for her, she would be right back! I could get my baked and then I went to the food area because I heard them ask them the couple before me when they get food also the young boys and the ones at the food counters totally ignored me and the eating was all wrapped up because it had turned 5 o'clock. they were all very rude and I should have waited since I was already in charge! it's such a more expensive place and hospitality really counts when they pay that much money
great place to shop for deli foods desserts dinner. a bit on the expensive side, but if they want quality then this is a place to go. the personal is also wonderful. I was looking for a certain dessert that I only found in brooklyn, called tortoni. dolce clemente Dessert freezer was on the mend and a few members from the staff in the deli department whet out of the way to the back freezer and after a few minutes found me a package of tortonis. great customer service.
Passing though and remembered DDD was there. Got a foot size Sorento hoagie and 4 crab stuffed mushrooms. Hoagie was delicious, huge, worth the 33, it was more like 18 . The mushrooms.... Meh...first thought was it was imitation crab, but got a shell....no flavor other that red pepper. Needs garlic, butter, white wine, lemon, for 17 not worth it. Maybe just a new cook that prepared it. I added butter and broiled it a little.
amazing! great selection of all kinds of special Italian articles and more. friendly and helpful staff also. only quibble: the baked, dessert section was hot. it was very hot outside, but the deli part of the same load was comfortable cool. in any case, don't stop me from repeating, tho. I'll bring a towel next time.
