I've often walked by Dolcezza and the classy, old-school look of the place always caught my eye. When walking to my car yesterday I decided to try it on a whim. I can't speak to the coffee, but the gelato is excellent. City Center is a particularly pricey area of DC and unfortunately Dolcezza doesn't buck the trend. If I had one criticism I would definitely say that it's overpriced, but if you're in the area and feel like treating yourself then go for it. I had a large (triple scoop) Banana Foster gelato. It was smooth, creamy, sweet, and deserving of any other adjective you could think of for delicious gelato.
Got some dessert here with my dad the other night. I was surprised but pleased that a small can be two flavors. My dad got Clementine and Pineapple honey lime. He said he enjoyed both but the pineapple flavor was a bit weak. I order Hojicha and Marscapone and berries. The Green tea flavor was incredible and not too sweet or bitter. We got a to go cup for my mom but I didn’t hear her opinion on the flavors. They have a sign that shows where they are sourcing their ingredients that I thought was nice. I wish there was some outdoor seating but I can understand if their location doesn’t permit them to offer that.
A 4 stars for me. From out of town and found this place on Google Map. Recently visited NYC and had a really nice cup of Affogato so maybe I set my expectation a little too high. The presentation of my Affogato is not really that good. I know Affogato is gelato Expresso, but I got pour over expresso on the gelato (option for Whipped cream? . It was put into a paper cup so the expresso lost it's heat really quick and not able to melt the galeto with it, compared if you put everything in a glass cup.
The coffee and gelato at this restaurant are excellent. I sampled several flavors before deciding on the lemon cardamom and pistachio, both of which were delicious. The lemon cardamom had a subtle cardamom taste with a mild lemon flavor, while the pistachio had a strong pistachio flavor that I really enjoyed. I also tried the sorbet, but it didn't compare to the gelato. The hazelnut latte had a nice hazelnut flavor as well.

This restaurant is fantastic - classy, modern, and definitely worth a visit. I have been here multiple times and enjoyed their chai latte, hot chocolate, and cappuccino - all of which were excellent. I also tried their affogato at another location, which was also delicious. The restaurant is in a great location too.
I am not a fan of the new menu at this restaurant. The seasonal options do not include any of my favorite flavors, which was disappointing. Most restaurants usually keep a few signature dishes on the menu, but it seems like this place has completely changed things up.
This restaurant is a fantastic spot to try some incredibly flavorful sorbet! I decided to go with the pineapple honey lime and champagne mango flavors. They were not overly sweet and tasted like the most delicious and fresh versions of the fruits blended together.
This restaurant offers the best seasonal gelato in the city! They have unique flavors like blueberry lavender for summer and spice cake for winter. The location in the city center is also a plus.

Dolcezza Gelato Coffee is a great place for a sweet creamy treat and an espresso. The mascarpone gelato was my favorite. It was very creamy and rich. All the other flavors are fantastic as well.
