I've visited this restaurant several times, but I was not impressed with the food. I really enjoy pupusas, yuca frita, chicharrón, plátanos fritos, and horchata. Usually, I drive all the way to Silver Spring, MD, for Salvadoran food at El Comalito, as their offerings are much better. Unfortunately, the food here didn't have the same flavor, and the service wasn’t very friendly. That’s why I decided not to return. I tried to leave some constructive feedback on their Facebook page, but I think the owner blocked me. I apologize for being honest.
I ordered a meat dish, and the rice was cold—let me emphasize that: COLD rice. I also ordered a hot dog that was supposed to be Salvadoran, but it was terrible. There was too much fat, and the whole thing felt oily and inedible. The flavor was horrible. As for the pupusa, it was equally disappointing; I really didn't enjoy it. I gave one star, but honestly, that was generous, as I was tempted to give none. I do not recommend this place. And the atol? It tasted like elote, but with barely any corn in it.
My Son, Daughter-in-law, and I have ordered take out several times from Doña Maria's. The food was fresh, very good and pretty quick. The people who worked there were sweet and pleasant. We did get flan quite a bit. It was delicious. Highly recommend it, at least try it. I think you're going to be pleasantly surprised. Dasher and delivery was great, but the restaurants food was not. No longer has salsa roja/ red sauce with pupusas. Served some sort of green sauce. Food was very bland without it. Also greasy. This place used to be better.
Everything was incredible! My girlfriend ordered two pupusas, one with pork and cheese and the other just cheese, and they were incredibly satisfying. I tried the empanada platter, and they were the best I've ever had.
The food here is excellent, but the service was incredibly disappointing. The staff ignored me and were quite rude. This place doesn't deserve any stars.
I’ve never had a bad experience here! The food is amazing, and the prices are very reasonable. It's always one of my favorite places to go!

I ordered pastelitos and pupusas, and the food was excellent. The sauce for the pupusas is fantastic. I will definitely order again!
