Honestly. Probably one of the worse experiences. I travel occasionally to Chicago to eat Spanish food and enjoy family time.Don’t recommend this hotel:Unlucky us the fridge was not working properly. We came in put our drinks in the fridge and a few hours went by and everything was still hot on a 90 degree day. To make our experience worse the room has no microwave, there is only one microwave for the whole floor. I had to walk back and forth to warm up milk and food for the kids . To be honest this is the first time i see a hotel that has 1 microwave for a whole floor of over 20 rooms. When we spoke to reception the inly options given was 2 buckets of ice or bring the drinks down to the main...
After a long drive, I arrived at a stunning location where I was warmly welcomed by the check-in staff. It was a hot day, and I truly appreciated my lovely room, which was perfectly cool. Although I was in town for a family wedding, I had to head home the next morning, so a restful night was essential. Despite the parking lot indicating a full house, the hotel was surprisingly quiet, allowing me to sleep soundly. Speaking of parking, there were ample spots conveniently located near the entrance, so I didn't have to walk far. Overall, excellent job to Doubletree Hilton in Wood Dale, Illinois! A highlight was having access to my balcony, where I could enjoy the cool night air and lovely views.
This is a perfectly adequate hotel. The staff was courteous and helpful, but not overly so. The breakfast was not included with the stay but at $15 for a relatively simple buffet wasn't outrageous. This hotel is at least an hour from most things in Chicago, so I wouldn't recommend staying here if that's where you want to visit during the days. It isn't terribly inconvenient for the airport.Walkability: This hotel isn't walkable. There is a nice walking path that circles the block, but you'll have to drive or cross major roads and go a distance before finding amenities.
We chose this hotel based on its proximity to O'hare as we had an early flight the next day. Its about a 15 min drive to the airport. Not a lot nearby but that didn't bother us. We ate at the hotel restaurant which was very good. The service was excellent especially our waiter who also served as the bartender later on in the evening. The property was clean, if a bit dated. There is an indoor pool and a lovely courtyard. Also, there is a walking path nearby which was nice to stretch to your legs a bit. We would stay here again.

The building is quite old, but that’s typical for Illinois. If you’re coming in from the airport, there is a shuttle available, but I would recommend renting a car. It’s about a 17-minute drive from O'Hare, roughly 30 minutes to the city, and up to an hour with traffic to the south suburbs, which I’d suggest avoiding if you’re not familiar with the area.
Overall, I will definitely return on my next visit to the DoubleTree in Brovi!
The room itself was comfortable and quiet, and the bed was very nice with plenty of water pressure in the shower. However, the toilet was problematic; it kept running, and I had to adjust the arm chain multiple times.
My main issue, though, was the lack of power outlets. Most of the lamps and furniture lacked accessible plugs, forcing me to relocate the desk and couch and unplug the lights just to charge my laptop or phone.
Front desk pleasant. Indoor pool is open and clean. BUT….. spiders, spiders, and MORE SPIDERS. So far I have taken the life of 5. I was told that they did not recently exterminate so ruled that out. But maybe that IS the problem. Also shower curtains ripped. Bedsheet ripped. No microwave in room. Just all around disappointed with stay. And nothing is complimentary here. $2 for water. Wow
The rooms require updating and better cleaning. The floor was dirty, and there was no closet or place to hang clothes in the room. Additionally, the bed was too soft and uncomfortable. I likely will not return. Overall, the rooms need improvements and a thorough cleaning.

The hotel is in significant need of renovations. The shower didn’t drain properly, and what was left behind was quite unpleasant. Given the price, I would strongly suggest looking for a different place to stay. However, the staff was friendly and accommodating.
