My family and I have been coming to this restaurant since it opened, and up until the past year, I was always genuinely excited to go. When it first opened there used to be a manager who always seemed to be there, and he would take time to help staff and also speak with customers. He paid special attention to our daughter which made her feel special. Not sure what has happened, but those days are long gone...and I'm guessing so is that manager.Over the past year we did notice the service was going downhill but the food was always really good. I Have been coming to Dragon Rolls since it first opened. Service was always exceptional, so much so my boyfriend and I would even go back to back nights. We visited yesterday for lunch. When we got there the hostess was busy doing meaningless work and did not even look up at us even after trying to grab her attention. We ended up standing there waiting for her for 5 minutes. I asked the hostess if it was still lunch time and she said yes. Finally someone came over to seat us and told us it's now the dinner menu. We have been to this restaurant several times in the past as we live in the area. Most experiences were positive. We went for a birthday tonight for dinner after not being there for a year. We walked in and were ignored by the hostess. Once she did speak to us we requested a table for 5. We were then again ignored and were told nothing. After 20 minutes she returned and sat us at a table. The bench seating was full of food crumbs and we were not offered a drink for another 10 minutes. Location: In a plaza. Lots of free parking.Décor: It is an attractive space that is fairly large, but visually bisected by the hostess table and bar at the front. Service: Service was not really prompt, eager or that welcoming, but passable. Food: We tried a sample of both Japanese and Thai and found it to be average. It was fairly good taste and presentation. The Japanese sushi was small and plain, but attractive. Quality was average. This place is geared for the all you can eat goop. If you want all you can eat, it is $14.99 for lunch or $21.99 for dinner during the week or $2 more on the weekend.Overall: Its nice to try alternatives. I should point out that we have eaten their food many times and been generally thrilled with the quality. But we only ever order take-out. So I can't comment on the dine-in experience here.Never had a dish that wasn't 100% satisfactory. Appropriate for the cost. Just wish they'd put every take-out order in those black plastic containers with the tight snap-on lids. For some reason, they'll pick some dish in the order and put it in a styrofoam container with a loose lid, that ultimately ends up leaking all over the inside of the bag. This despite my repeatedly asking when ordering to avoid this.I'd have given 5 stars except for this glitch. Please pay better attention to customer requests.
Heard about this place from a friend so we decided to chec it out. The wife likes some of the Thai food seections. I drove to the location and placed and order for the green curry beef and the wife went for the Pad Thai chicken. We both enjoyed our dishes with the rice we perpared at home. The green curry beef had a wonderful flavour with a little bit of heat. Iam not a fan of Pad Thai so I did not taste it. I found that some places really like to lay on the peanuts which puts me off that dish. We have orderedmany times over the years and always enjoyed the food, althought we have not eaten in there.
Have frequented this establishment several times, but have always had issues with the wrong orders being given (especially take out,) disagreements about charges, and not honoring their coupons for discounts (they always have an excuse - though there are no exclusions on the coupons themselves.) Food is mediocre to say the least, but it was close and convenient. My last visit will be the last to this restaurant. I again found them rude, condescending and not interested in making sure the consumer is treated with respect.
