Moved to the area recently and very quickly fell in love with the George; it 's a great little historical pub with a lovely selection of beers and ales, a nice atmosphere and attached to a Thai restaurant However, very recently my friends and I came in for a few drinks and some food, and found the food had dropped significantly in quality. This wasn 't a huge issue as we raised this with one of the women at the bar who, upon being told the food didn 't taste seasoned, proceeded to tell us this isn 't a restaurant followed by that 's just how it 's made . I was intrigued by the sign outside advertising a Thai and Pint deal on Wednesday evenings, so I decided to give it a try. What a great deal it turned out to be! As soon as you walk into the pub, you can feel the cozy atmosphere and rich history. I particularly enjoyed seeing the old brewery located at the back of the building. The staff were welcoming and the food was not only delicious, but it was also served quickly and at a reasonable price. I will definitely be returning next week!
Would probably never have gone in normally but we were supporting Perivale Brewery who had a Tap Takeover event there. What a great surprise. Pass through the front room and you suddenly find d yourself in oak panelled surroundings with lots of seating and nooks and crannies. Pass through this room and you find an enor6 area complete with rectangular bar, vaulted ceiling, huge selection of craft beers, huge brewing vats and friendly helpful staff. Amazing.
Please update your website. I came out on a cold, dark February Sunday expecting to experience the gripping excitement of an open mic night. When I enquired at the bar, I was given such a look as if I was an escaped mental patient and told that no such night existed at this establishment. The website says different. Interestingly, I am greeted with this look quite often in my daily life.

Called in here after reading the great reviews but I was really disappointed. Quite a large selection of beers but very expensive compared to local establishments. Was looking to eat in there but the place was not very inviting and didn’t feel the cleanest so gave it a miss.
The curry at this restaurant is incredible. We wish we lived closer so we could come back more often. You definitely won't be disappointed if you give it a try. It's creamy and packed with delicious flavors.
Update: Try the Nam Tok Moo marinated pig with all the tastes. Great local alcohol, rotating keg and keg choice, friendly staff, amazing beer Thai Curry for a tenner offerings also Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
A beautiful pub with a nice outside area, the selection of beer was good and the staff (we were served by Juliana if I remember well) was lovely. We’ll definitely be back again!

I'm glad they finally replaced the staff from a few years ago. They were terrible, rude, and disrespectful. However, the food and drinks are delicious.
Great selection of beers, amazing Thai food and good music! What else could you ask for?! Definitely recommend a visit to anyone
