Very pleasant surprise. I’m a South Carolina native out in Indiana on a business trip and I was looking for a place to eat that’s not too expensive. I decided to search for a place to get a steak for an okay price like a Texas Roadhouse but also wanted to try something new and come across Drake’s who has a steak and sushi combo. I haven’t seen something like this on a menu so I’m intrigued and head over. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Got seated immediately and my server came along within about 2 minutes after I had been seated. Ordered the filet combo with a California roll and asked for a suggestion on which side to go with for the steak and he told me the tater tots were great so...
Exceptional food with Exceptiona. Hands down, the best fried pickles and fish I've ever had. The fish was tender and soft enough that it fell apart in my fingers with the slightest pull, but crisp enough to maintain its shape and provide a delicious crunch. I will definitely bring my Scottish friend here when he visits to see if our Fish/Chips are better than they are across the pond.And this is without mentioning the wide varieties of draft beers they have. Most places have a few drinks of tap, but Drake's had *dozens*.Good food, good drink, polite and friendly staff, all combined with a hearty portion for a great value.
UPDATE: I came back for a second day in a row, and unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. While the service at the bar remains fantastic, my meal didn't meet expectations. I ordered the fillet with a crab Rangoon roll. The roll was delicious, but the steak was quite disappointing. It had an odd flavor, as if it had been left out for too long, and it was undercooked compared to the medium/rare I requested. I'm dropping my rating to 3 stars; without the excellent bartender, it would have been less than 1 star! Come on, Drakes, you need to step it up!
The seating was unique. The server greated right away, got our drinks, and then promptly forgot about our party for about 15 minutes. We ordered appetizers and mains at the same time. The appetizers came after the meals were served. The burger and fries I ordered were barely warm and not the best. My friend ordered the queso burger, which was cold and congealed by the time we received our food. The sushi my table mates ordered as an appetizer seemed to be decent. I was disappointed as this restaurant was recommended.

This isn’t just a review of Drake's, but also a shout-out to our server, Adam. He was amazing—entertaining, friendly, and enthusiastic about his work. Meeting Adam truly enhanced my experience today. My colleague and I were both very impressed. The food arrived quickly and was decent, but nothing really stood out in either direction. What truly made the experience memorable was Adam's demeanor and kindness.
Sushi and burgers might not seem like a natural combination, but Drake's proves otherwise! The sushi is fresh and comes with a fantastic selection of both specialty and classic dishes. As for the burgers, they are absolutely delicious—definitely deserving of a chef's kiss! I highly recommend trying the Juicy Lucy.
Take out delivery , food was absolutely amazing , everything was fresh and better looking than the pictures , if I could rate it with more stars , they would get ten !!! Sorry food was so good forgot to take pictures, even the coke was fresh and crisp !!! Whoever was on the grill rocked it out tonight !!
Appetizers were excellent. Quick service and great beer.
