Had a hankering for soul good and I heard Drew's Place was open for lunch dine in finally. It's been mentioned as the best fried chicken in Fort Worth.Couldn't decide between fried chicken and chicken fried steak so I ordered the 2 meat combination chicken was well seasoned and tender slightly crispy. Chicken fried steak was also very tender with a 6 ounce cutlets. A little on the thin side of thickness and wished it was crisper but overall enjoyed it with a nice thick cream gravy.Cornbread had good flavor but was a little dry and needed butter.Yams were slightly sweet but prefer my yams to baked with marshmallows and butter but there was an adequate amount of brown sugar but needed cinnamon...
First time eating here. I got the spicy catfish, Mac and cheese, greens, roll and koolaid slushy. I loved the fish, greens and roll! The fish was truly fantastic! The Mac was disappointing. It seemed more like buttered noodles than Mac and cheese at a black owned business. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and will go back and try different sides. The service was great and the food didn't take but 10 minutes to come out.
Oh! This some all day every day every time I fly home kinda spot. You know this is your spot when you can recall and remember the owner's kiddo from 20y ago now college-educated and working alongside her Momma. Me and my Momma got the cat and the 5p chix so we can share 4 sides and 2 meats. And they got fanta red? My **** and sweet tea is a blessing of all sorts here. See y'all in a few months.
Good lord!!!! First time here today and i love it! What gem hidden in my neighborhood!! The staff are super friendly and attentive. Cozy atmosphere and light jazz music to help calm the mind and good food to warm the soul. They cant hide from me anymore ill be coming here regularly now! Recommend 10/10 and will come again!! Solid!!

Chickenfor me. Fried with a mildly spicy crust. He got catfish which he said was a disappointment *muddy . Fried okra great. Black eyed peas and greens were excellent . Mashed potatoes a real disappointment: they were instant!.
Small restaurant serving home style soul food options like fried pork chops, chicken fried steak, cornbread, and collard greens. Friendly wait staff. Be aware you will likely be parking on the street. Good lunch spot.
If you want the best chicken in town with Mac and cheese and greens with the best hot peach cobbler this is your place. The owner was really nice and we will be back. Just wish I had of found this place before now.
