We went for our anniversary, had never been there before. I was quite disappointed with both the food and service. The staff was nice but service was very slow and waiter seemed inexperienced. Took a long time to get menus, took 3 tries to get water, weren 't told about specials, and had to ask for a knife. The appetizers and drinks were fine, I ordered the steak and it was overcooked. The potato it came with wasn 't what I expected (waiter said it was baked, but it wasn 't what you commonly would call baked it was a fancy sliced potato) and the potato was dried out and seemed like it was nuked. Totally redone from when it was Venetian Yacht Club..nice colors, EXCELLENT patio for a gorgeous sunset over the Robert Moses bridges.. food was really very good, oysters were Very clean tasting.. A very impressive place for a romantic dinner..
The restaurant canceled my reservation, and they were closed after Labor Day. The management could have done a better job with their communication and notification.
