we were surprised to find this beautiful restaurant with views of the river here in lauderdale. the quality of their eating was top notch and tasty! its city dining room without breaking the wallet. if they ever find themselves stranded here, driftwood is a definitiw place to go! the waitress was friendly and the ambiente was of finer odour! Driftwood restaurant is nicely situated over the Lauderdale canal. Bird life abundant. We were welcomed by friendly staff who attended efficiently. the food was one of the best I ever had and was even better. has made a booking to go back before we leave tasmania. parking: parking space near the restaurant barrier: easier accessdietary restrictions: the waiter asked if we had food restrictions when we were sitting. they take care of everyone.
This restaurant serves a wonderful breakfast! The atmosphere is very nice and cozy, and the place is very clean. The food was delicious and cooked to perfection. The hollandaise sauce was amazing, and the coffee was very good as well. A definite must-visit if you're in the Hobart area.

the pasta and duck for the net, both very tasty. very well cooked and much taste, but the portions of the meal does not justify the price. (1 more bones would have been perfect) we had escaped and were still very hungry after the net.
