I've frequently used OpenTable and have never encountered any issues until now. We made a reservation at Droad-Café through OpenTable for Valentine's Day. A day or two after booking, I received a text from OpenTable confirming our date and time. However, when we arrived at Droad-Café, they claimed they had no record of our reservation. They informed us that OpenTable does not communicate with them regarding reservations. This seems to be a problem between OpenTable and the restaurant that needs to be addressed, as the customer is left unaware that their reservation may not be honored.
What a wonderful breakfast experience! The owner came by to chat with us and was absolutely delightful. Their passion for cooking and connecting with people was evident in our conversation, as well as in the delicious and hearty food we enjoyed. We tried the crazy eggs served in an iron skillet, and the eggs over shredded bark with black beef. It was quite an experience, to say the least! Overall, this restaurant in Montgomery is a gem, with some incredible offerings and a warm atmosphere.
Amazing lunch food, incredible owner. Was like being served by family. Hot bar had three meats, rice, black beans and several vegetables. The homemade hot sauce and pickled vegetables were excellent. I would return and recommend to others. Only thing to point out: we didn't know the hot bar process nor the price. We didn't know if a second helping was included. Thus, we were a bit surprised that the cost was $34 for two people with water.
We had a confirmed reservation with OpenTable at D'Road for Valentine's Day at 6:30 PM, but when we arrived, we were denied a table and told we needed to contact the owner directly. The owner informed us that OpenTable hadn't reached out to her, and as a result, we were denied service. The restaurant was only half full, with many empty tables available. I wouldn't recommend using OpenTable to make a reservation here! Réservez une table maintenant
She is one of the nicest women I have met. She treats everyone like her child and knows me by name after about 3 visits. Her food is amazing, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the food is healthy without compromising on taste. I would recommend coming on an international night to get a good feel for the type of food she prepares. Bring your appetite!
