I feel really bad rating Drummer Boy Cafe a 3/5. We went here often before the virus. Our experience was that one of our premium priced meals was cold in the middle and quite under seasoned. Overcooked on parts and undercooked on others. People raved on the Steak sandwich, when mine arrived, I could taste it was cooked from frozen. The humongous oversized steak is not blue or rare, it 's well done, so it 's incredibly dry with bearly enough spread to cover half it 's size. Unfortunately left disappointed. Food was undercooked and under seasoned. Eggs Benedict in particular was not flavourful, muffin not toasted and side of haloumi was barely cooked. We enjoyed our coffees though and the atmosphere was nice, but a lot of room for improvement with their brunch options. Was quite pricey too at just under $70 for two breakfasts and two coffees. Don’t mind paying that if the food was enjoyable but unfortunately was not the case this time.

I hadn't been here before, but I ordered from the brunch menu. This was the best breakfast we've had in the peninsula area, featuring nothing but high-quality ingredients on the plate. The coffee was fantastic, and the staff were courteous, warm, and helpful. This place is more than just another coffee shop; we also noticed locals who work in the area coming in for their morning coffee.

I came back for another visit and ordered the Eggs Benedict, which was fantastic. I enjoyed it as is, but you have the option to add various sides if you’d like. I’ll definitely be returning the next time I’m in the area.

Today, I enjoyed the best steak sandwich I've ever had. The service was excellent, and I dined in for lunch. I would rate the food a perfect 5, the service a perfect 5, and the atmosphere a perfect 5 as well.
