We frequent Due Amici regularly alone or with friends for dining, drinks, and often before a show but not always. In all the years we have been dining here we have never been disappointed until this trip. The service was very slow and the restaurant was not packed, busy but not full. Our waiter was just ok. We had ample time to eat and get to our show but the waiter seemed to be annoyed with us that we wanted drinks first. He wanted our entire order at one time and we had not decided. We seemed rushed and there was no need. When my husband ordered a bourbon the waiter thought but wasn't sure the restaurant was out of it. This restaurant does not show up among the top results when searching for Italian cuisine in Columbus, but it is absolutely wonderful food, drinks, atmosphere, and service are spectacular, and it is located in close proximity to a variety of venues for entertainment before or after your dining experience. I would strongly recommend Due Amici to anyone interested in a delicious and enjoyable Italian dining experience.
Staff was very helpful, attentive, and friendly. The ambiance of the restaurant was very nice and comfortable. Food felt like it was almost there but didn't quite make it all the way. We came on a slow Wednesday night so perhaps that affected things. The combinations and flavors felt like it should have been good but didn't deliver. Brussel sprouts were undercooked. Pasta was very overcooked.
We sat at table for almost ten minutes before being services. Waiter did not know details of the menu, basic questions required him to leave and come back. Ambiance and location are great, food was good, hopefully just got an inexperienced server, would return

What a nice little gem if you're looking for a great Italian restaurant with a great bar. Just off the Short North and close to the arena district with access to lots of fun. I'd say this is a place for both cocktails or a dinner with friends.
We had not been to Due Amici for a while. The menu has changed and they now offer many more small plates, a welcome addition. Great place for a special occasion. We went for a late Valentine's Day dinner after seeing a play the Ohio Theater.
Awesome spot for a drink, happy hour, date night and events. Tim will always treat you well behind the bar. You can find yourself surrounded by good company and good conversation.
