We had booked two double rooms in the dune castle with 3 adults for 5 days on New Year 22/23. Price of 155€ per day incl. We found breakfast for two people already increased, but we also expected something special. Above all, the location is perfect! After a few meters you are on the beach! There are several restaurants in the area that offer various dishes and drinks. The size of the rooms (we were on the 2nd floor with balcony, no elevator) was perfect. Rooms and bathrooms were clean, although some hair was found on the sheets. My wife is always equipped for such a thing and had a furrow in it, so there is no problem for us, so we don't blame it either. The rooms were very badly lit. Unfortunately, the bathroom had no storage in the shower and there was also a lack of magnification mirror, since the mirror in the bathroom was removed over an arm length and you were not closer to the sink. Breakfast was okay. The baked rolls were sola. Directly opposite the hotel is a bakery. Why don't you get the fresh baked goods delivered in the morning? For 13€ pP we have already received more and better selection in other hotels. The restaurant was completely closed during our stay. This should be specified when booking. No credit cards were accepted during payment, although it is advertised in various booking portals. An absolute NoGo. We had some very nice days in Karlshagen, but will soon descend into another hotel.
We could spend wonderful days at Hotel Dünenschloss in Karlshagen. Check-in was easy on Sunday afternoon via the safe! The rooms are clean, bright and spacious! Breakfast is rich and delicious. Individual wishes are very well implemented by the staff. The staff is nice and helpful! The hotel is just a few meters from the beach. We recommend the hotel 100%!
