My wife booked at table for 7 people to celebrate my daughters and my birthday, the party included relatives who had travelled to Chester that day. Are booking was for Saturday 3rd at 6.30pm, we arrived on time, drink and food orders were taken pretty promptly so the food order could get into the kitchen. Only 3 ordered starters which arrived ok. Time was ticking on and no sign of our main courses, my wife approached the staff on numerous occasions, the staff apologised and said they were chasing the food orders up but there was nothing they could do about it. At 9pm and still no main meals we we’re losing the will to live, so my wife told the staff if nothing appeared in the next 5 minutes...
My mum had booked Duttons for mine and my dads birthday, 7 of us arrived at our table for 6:30pm, the waitress then took our drinks order and shortly after our food order, we then waited about an hour for our starters, our starters were then collected, it had been about half an hour and the waitress came over to apologise for the wait and we were being given a free round of drinks. We continued to wait for our food but just kept being told sorry for the wait and we were the next table to be served, other tables that arrived after us were being served but our food still hadn’t arrived. not busy at all for a Thursday evening, but unsurprising when the 2 girls on the bar seemed more interested looking at their phones or talking loudly and swearing to one another in conversation, when they did move it was only to stravaig. a very toxic feel from the female staff members seemed to be the only two on, rude and uncaring to the few guests. will not be back
Found this place by accident, glad we did, friendly and helpful staff, lovely decor and food was reasonably priced and lovely. We both had the lamb shank with bubble and squeak mash broccoli stems in a lovely port gravy. Place was fairly busy for a horrible rainy night, would definitely go again when in Chester

Came in for a bite to eat and a couple of drinks. Received amazing service from the lovely waiter named Bethan, was greeted very kindly and service was fast and polite. Had messy chips which were very nice and came out quickly. Overall very nice service will be coming back
Turned up without a booking but they squeezed us in despite the fact that they were busy. Super food, great menu, great selection of beers and a really solid wine list. Service was excellent, staff attentive, friendly and efficient. Would definitely recommend.
nice eating, the duck in hoisin sauce wrap would recommend, really tasty and the personal was really courteous and could not do more for us, thank you for a nice afternoon after our santa dash
beautiful atmosphere, great staff who were very attentive, was eating fantastic, loved their drumstick cocktail. we are happy to go back soon, can not recommend very much. Thank you.

Had a lovely waitress called chloe serve us she was very pleasant and attentive. Had a club sandwich and my son had a steak sandwich, both were excellent. Highly recommended
Lovely setting just off from the Cathedral Had the duck spring rolls which were lovely and the butternut squash risotto which was superb . Would certainly recommend.
