I must say first off that the food we've gotten here has been delicious. But we've ordered delivery from them about 5 or 6 times, and they have never once gotten our order right. Something is inevitably left off, and, no matter how many times we beg that they be kept separate, the vegetarian rolls are mixed in with everything else, resulting in half of my meal being smeared with fish and rendered inedible. I was so excited to find a place with so many vegetarian options, but sadly we can no longer order from them. the food came fast, which was nice, but the sushi I ordered was not so. the salmon they use in their sushi reels and sashimi, had a strange texture on it and was not very good. it is from cleaning because sushi is raw, so the fish must be fresh and good quality. that was probably the worst laugh I got from a sushi restaurant. I did not try anything else from here before, but unfortunately I do not think I will be back: hopefully the other raw fish is better quality than the salmon I have tried.
my man went to east hana to order food for the take-out. the staff there immediately told him that he went to the side door and repeated it again, although he had not said a word, thought he was a supplier. my man is a successful black man who at least dresses decently and it doesn't make sense why they would accept as such, unless the personal who works there is racist. I assume a mind would not be so ignorant. this facility can definitely say goodbye to our business.
Disappointed to lower my stars. They started out so well! I've ordered pick up every few months and the sushi quality and freshness have gone steadily downhill. They must be hurting for business as they have also downgraded to super cheap chopsticks. I didn't know takeout chopsticks could suck so bad. The sushi was decent, but I encountered a problem with DoorDash—they only list the names of the rolls without any descriptions of the ingredients. Some of the specialty rolls have particularly unique names, making it difficult to know what I was ordering. I ended up just guessing and regretted two of my choices since I had no idea what was in them.
Called ahead of time to ask when the kitchen closed out of courtesy. It's listed as 11 but they said 10:45. Okay no problem. We already had picked out what we wanted prior to entering to make it super convenient for everyone. But was rudely kicked out of the restaurant before 10:30pm because they didn't want to serve anymore patrons. Amazing.
I've ordered from here several times, and the vegetarian sushi is always fresh. I usually get the sweet potato roll, peanut avocado roll, and mango avocado roll. I also appreciate that they offer a brown rice option for the rolls. I can't wait to try more items from their menu!
Ridiculously expensive for mediocre sushi. The spicy rolls disguise the fishy taste but the fish by itself tastes old and nasty.
