They rivaled drinks we've had at other downtown venues that cost between $13 to $15. I sampled all four cocktails we ordered, and each one was delightful. Absolutely delicious! This restaurant skillfully combines Eastern and Western flavors, which is perfectly reflected in its name. It truly lives up to the concept! They take traditional Asian dishes and give them a unique twist in both flavor and presentation. My only regret is that I didn’t have the chance to try more. I had the pork buns, pork rice bowl, shrimp noodles, shishito peppers, a couple of drinks, and, of course, the dessert— the coconut bread pudding was outstanding! Fantastic!!! We were debating between several places in Birmingham when we thankfully discovered East West. What a treasure of a restaurant! We dined outdoors and had a wonderful experience. The service was excellent, balancing attentiveness perfectly. I ordered the house cabernet, which was light yet enjoyable, while my companion opted for a craft beer. Coming from out of town and researching the perfect spot for Valentine?s Day weekend, I knew this restaurant was the one. I made reservations at 7pm and already knew what I wanted to order. We got there 20 mins early and they were still able to sit us down promptly. Saturday night was busy, so it was a little loud. But the ambience and decor made up for it. I really enjoy dining at this restaurant; the food is exceptional! I've visited twice, and each time the dishes have been consistently excellent. The restaurant has a modern design and a great atmosphere. I recommend calling ahead to make a reservation, as it tends to get quite busy in the evenings.
