After a few great visits we have given great reviews about smokies in the past, we even got married there and everything was fantasti, we decided to go on the eat out to help out scheme. Disappointed isn't the word, didn't feel covid safe, the guy who served us brought drinks wearing mask then started touching his mask as he walked off. The lady at table next to us left but no one came and cleaned table. We both ordered the Ribeye steaks, they were tiny, it came with a basket of frozen chips, one tiny stalkless mushroom and half a tomato. Went as 5 adults and 5 children. Food choice and quality excellent as in previous visits. Good choice of starters and sweets Only downside as on previous visits is the service. You are only asked for drink orders when you arrive other than that you have to go to the bar or try and wave a waitress down’ Also slow to clear plates after courses even though it was not busy We will visit again as the food is worth it but service is so simple to get right with a bit of thought.
We had a lovely stay on bed and breakfast and evening meal. The food was excellent, we had the steak and trimmings, followed by dessert. We have to mention Miguel who really looked after us and went out of his to make us feel relaxed on our Wedding Anniversary. The hotel staff were very accommodating and the hotel was very clean and very organised. Our room was lovely and spacious and would definitely recommend the restaurant and hotel for great food and to stay.
Just celebrated son's birthday the service was excellent all of the family thoroughly enjoyed it. Food and drink good quality, well presented, relaxing ambience even with 4 young children. My family and I had Sunday lunch at this restaurant. The food was very good and we were able to enjoy three courses for £13.50. All of the dishes were delicious. The house wine was £20 a bottle. We did experience some waiting time between courses, but overall we really enjoyed our meal.
We made a reservation online, which was very simple. The staff were excellent. The restaurant was closed, so we dined in the bar area. The menu was limited but had a great selection. The food was delicious. The evening was peaceful and enjoyable. We can't wait to come back again.
We had a lovely meal just after New Year. We had the tapas starter followed by steak for the main meal and sticky toffee pudding for dessert and coffee later. The staff were very accommodating and polite and friendly. We will definitely be back soon.
During our stay at Smokies Hotel, we enjoyed delicious meals at the restaurant. The portions were very generous and the staff was lovely. Thank you for a wonderful dining experience.

Only had bar snacks always been tasty, filling and I think good value. Sometimes there been a wait but the food is hot and freshly prepared.
