Eatalico Praterstrasse

This is my fav Italian place in Vienna! I live a few blocks away and eat here regularly. During busy hours (weekends and evenings mainly) it can be hard to get a table without reservations, but they always try. When the place is packed it does get quite noisy, but I like the interior.The food is amazing. Pizza tastes very close to the ones I've had in Italy. Everything tastes fresh and you can watch them cook the pizza in a large open fire oven.And they're huge! (Much bigger than the plates.) I usually eat half and take the other half home for the next day, which is no problem. They will provide you with a box. We're visiting from California with out two pre-teens boys. Both kids have been great about trying new food but after several days they were ready for a familiar meal. We tried Eatalico and ended up returning two more times over the length of our stay. The portions are large (great for feeding hungry boys) and very good. I ordered the chicken salad every time. The chicken had a great flavor. My husband and the boys ordered pizza and pasta. All of it was great.

Pasta and pizza.That is it.No frills, no fancy dishes.But make no mistake, this is a well-managed place.The food arrives in hot plates and is pleasantly served by diligent waiters.Choke-a-full middays (office crowd).The place is functional and convivial (privacy).I loved their wines (not overpriced)

Good restaurant Pizza are worth the visit Waiters are ok, following the Vienna standard, and of course if you speak German they are much nicer and helpful The location is great
