The hostel just cancelled my booking before arrival, although they had confirmed it before. I contacted them on WhatsApp for the booking and they asked me to transfer 50% of the amount via Nequi. As I had never heard of Nequi before, I kindly asked them if there is a physical place where I can make this transfer and they replied that my booking is already confirmed so for me no need to transfer anything. 2 hours later they text me: “Sorry, there is no availability anymore”. Heee what?!?! Why don’t you tell me from the very beginning that my booking isn’t secured until I transferred 50% of the amount, which wouldn’t have been any problem at all if shortly explaining how Nequi works.
This hostel is just wonderful. Its located nice n quiet on a sidestreet direct at the Minca River. U can sit outside and watch the river and the nature, very peacful and calm. The Host Geraldo is a super nice man and also his employees are very friendly. They have a kitchen, a grill and also water and coffee which is all free to use and take. I really recommend this place and im happy that we found that spot.
Very natural and peaceful place. Just at the end of the city and at the beginning of the way to many places you need to see. Large back porch that is very quiet. A beautiful walk down to the stream on a path lined with thick yellow ship cables. Owner was very friendly and attentive to your needs. Recommended especially for its location. The price is also fair.

This hotel is a budget travelers dream. It reminds me a bit of the song hotel california....but hey.... Communal kitchen. River access. Great staff. Central cheap. Trustworthy. Yes a little seedy at times but also caught good workshops there. They offer long stay discounts if you negotiate in spanish.
Loved it very, a beautiful quiet place to hang out and relax, near restaurants shops cafes and waterfall with the river directly under the balcony, good kitchen and above all the staff is amazing had a great time to talk to them and Angelo lives up to his name, almost got convinced to stay a month!
