Wir haben Gestern Abend im Restaurant Edelweiss gegessen. Wir hatten Käse Fondue vorbestellt. Unser reservierter Tisch war schön dekoriert und stand am Kamin. Das Restaurant ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und man fühlt sich schnell willkommen. Der Kellner kannte sich nicht mit den Weinen aus. Wir bestellten einen Blanc de Blanc und später den Grauburgunder. Die Weinauswahl ist übersichtlich, aber stimmig. Rindchen hat geholfen. Als erstes kamen die Beilagen für das Käse Fondue. Mini Frikadellen aus Rind und Huhn. Leider ein fertig-Produkt. Pilze, Paprika, Tomaten, Brot, Artischocken und eine Art Kartoffel Bällchen. Alles sah lecker aus. Zusätzlich gab es noch drei Soßen. We ate at the Edelweiss restaurant last night. We had pre-ordered cheese fondue. Our reserved table was beautifully decorated and was next to the fireplace. The restaurant is very tastefully decorated and you quickly feel welcome. The waiter didn't know much about the wines. We ordered a Blanc de Blanc and later the Pinot Gris. The wine selection is clear but consistent. Rindchen helped. First came the side dishes for the cheese fondue. Mini meatballs made from beef and chicken. Unfortunately a finished product. Mushrooms, peppers, tomatoes, bread, artichokes and some kind of potato balls. Everything looked delicious. There were also three sauces. Then came the cast iron pot with the cheese...
Wir können leider die zwei Jahre alte Bewertung nur bestätigen. Positiv: Ambiente, Personal..der gesamte erste Eindruck war wirklich gut. Das Brot und die Dips vorweg waren auch wirklich lecker, das Thymian-Öl war ein Gedicht. ABER: Der eigentlich Star des Abends und der Grund für unseren Besuch war in unseren Augen leider eine bittere Enttäuschung. Der erste Anlauf des Käse-Fondue war so dünn wie Wasser. Dies wurde dann nachgebessert (wie auch immer es gemacht wurde) und danach war zumindest die Konsistenz so, wie sie sein sollte. Aber geschmacklich hatte es für uns so gar nichts mit einem Käse-Fondue gemeinsam. Es erinnerte viel mehr an Käse-Ersatz-Produkt auf einer billigen TK-Pizza. Und...
Unfortunately, we can only confirm the two-year-old review. Positive: Ambience, staff...the overall first impression was really good. The bread and dips beforehand were also really tasty, the thyme oil was a poem. BUT: The real star of the evening and the reason for our visit was unfortunately a bitter disappointment in our eyes. The first batch of cheese fondue was as thin as water. This was then touched up (however it was done) and after that at least the consistency was as it should be. But in terms of taste, for us it had nothing in common with a cheese fondue. It was much more reminiscent of a cheese substitute on a cheap frozen pizza. And then the side dishes... We are firmly convinced...
