This restaurant is both confusing and dangerous. A simple chicken roll was served with uncooked chicken, while a freshly made tortilla was so heavily salted it was barely edible. There have sent many changes here over the last year. The restaurant name changed to read Chumy y Mychu, then changed again to read El Paraiso, while it's original name still hovers on a sign outside. While some of our earlier experiences here had been better, we were never sure whether the daily chalkboard menu showed everything on offer. One day a chicken sandwich was no problem, while another day the same was impossible. Perhaps the chef was having a bad day. If my chef served food like this, risking Salmonella f...
The restaurant is in a pleasant setting with seats on the edge of a carp fishing lake. The food is old style Spanish, very average, Our part had veal steak, duck leg, rabbit and beef cheeks. All but the rabbit came with a small portion of chips and a small portion of mixed vegetables The meals were ok and filled a hole, but uninspiring. Very helpful waiter and cheap prices. The fishing tickets cost €5 and that gives you €5 bar credit, enough for a couple of bacon rolls and a coffee. Excellent afternoon's sport.
El Alto la Dolores , is a lovely rural restaurant north of Torrevieja, near the La Mata salt lagune a natural reserve. We tried one of the house specialities, a roasted shoulder of young goat absolutely delicious! As well as a speciel salad and a tasty dessert. Outside there are Petanque lanes a big fishing pond. Been there several times. Photo from the nice path around protected big La Mata lake
3 couples had a pleasant , cheap food lunch. The food was very average, starting with the traditional Spanish salad, then veal steaks, which I would have said must have been sirloin, and quite large ones, cooked as requested, no sauces, a small veg portion and in need of a pepper sauce. Our waiter could not have been more helpful. Will go again. Réservez une table maintenant
