El Basha Mediterranean Eatery

I can’t decide what’s more impressive, the food or the service. My mother and I absolutely love this Mediterranean/Egyptian restaurant in the greater Rochester area. The ingredients are fresh, the portions are generous, and the seasonings strike a perfect balance that suits my sensitive palate. Without a doubt, they have the best pita chips and hummus I’ve ever tasted. On top of that, the owner has a remarkable memory for every customer and is incredibly warm and welcoming. Even when we order takeout, the food is consistently great, just as if we were dining in.

The hardest thing about the menu is the decision to order what! Everything was described on a T in the menu and the mouth watered as I read it. The portions were very generous and the prices were on site. All we ordered was fantastic. The baklava was also very good. The waitress was like a big sister, so helpful and cleaned to the guests. We loved the fireplace in the front dining room! I can't wait to return. found it on Trip Advisor and each rating was 100% accurate.

Tried the Egyptian Garbage Plate ...amazingly delicious, bite after bite!!! So many good flavors, very well done. A must try in my book I will DEFF order again. Also sampled the dolmades with a different spin coming with rice and meat inside, very good as well. Then finally the falafel which was superbly done, nice crispy, very good. Make this a place to try especially if you have a liking for Mediterranean.

It was such a happy accident to find this place when driving through New York. It even made 5 very picky eaters with various preferences very happy. Incredible falafel and foul shell for the vegans and lamb for the picky lamb lover. Less adventurous plate for the little one. Service was incredibly friendly and the food was so delicious. Casual and fantastic food in the charming downtown of Victor.

Very friendly staff, best rice pudding I ever had (that's saying alot!! . Small little jewel in Victor, right were Burger Shack once was. Highly recommend going here just for the service alone. Very personable and a great experience! Will definitely dine here again!

The food was perfectly seasoned and generous portions! There was a slight mix up with the dishes, which we didn't even notice because it was so delicious, but the staff brought us over a free dessert to make up for it. Such nice people!!

This is our go-to place for Mediterranean! Everything is delicious, and we've tried most of the menu. Our favorites are the fata chicken shawarma and fata carouf. So good- Egyptian comfort food!

The people were wonderful and so very helpful. The food was a dream. So many layers of flavor, all happening at once. And yet it wasn't muddled, it was a harmonious marriage of flavors.
