Cabo de la Vela es absolutamente rústico y elemental, pero en cuanto a comida, se come como los reyes. Obviamente, el menú es siempre a base de pescado, o marisco, fresquísimo, recién capturado –casi siempre- por el dueño del restaurante. Salvo que ordenes determinada comida con anticipación, aquí no hay opción de elegir: Lo que se ha pescado es lo que te sirven. O sea que todos los comensales comen lo mismo. En El Calamar, ubicado en una de las primeras casas de Cabo de la Vela, probé una increíble barracuda servida con arroz, ensalada y patacones. Un manjar por menos de 1 €.
