El Caserio De Las Monjas

We found this restaurant on our second to last night in the town and enjoyed it so much that we went back again for our last night too. We were so pleased we had booked a table for the second night, a Friday, as it was fully booked. The service was friendly and helpful and the food delicious. The house wine was very good and at a very reasonable price. The menu is varied and English translations are written below the Spanish. The main restaurant is at the back of the building with some outside tables, others inside in addition to those at the front. We’d definitely go again and fully recommend it.

This was our first visit after a 3 year break from visiting Velez. We were not sure what to expect but we should not have been worried as the place was unchanged. Friendly and attentive staff and excellent food. It is hard to recommend one dish as everything we have ever selected from the menu has been excellent. Another place we will visit again on our next visit to Velez.

Impresionante, todo una delicia, con un trato exquisito. Los torreznos.. mmmmmmmm, el pulpo una pasada, y un chuletón de vaca madurada delicioso, en fin todo, y es lo que se espera cuando sales a comer. De precio, lo que vale, ni más ni menos.
