Had a great night out with the family and decided to give this place a try based on the reviews. Arrived a few minutes before 8pm on a Saturday and there was only two other people in the restaurant. I was like ok, a bit weird but we are going to give it a try. After being seated we had our drink orders taken and chips and salsa hit the table. For the people that like a bit more normality during these times then this is right up your alley. Salt and pepper on the table, it was like a breath of fresh air. The chips are slightly thick with a good crunch and the salsa has a tad bit of heat, decent taste as well. Decided to try something different and we ordered the Chimichanga Ranchera with chicken. 5/10 Served with rice and beans. The chimichanga was decent but the ranchera sauce needs some help, it lacked any real flavor. The rice is your basic restaurant rice, nothing special and the refried beans were bland as well. It was not horrible but not something I would ever order again. Chili Con Queso Chimichanga with chicken, peppers and onions. 6/10 Served with rice and beans. The queso is really good and gives the chimichanga a decent flavor. The peppers and onions need a bit more time on the flat top. Cozumel 6/10 The dish is pretty good, the only complaint is a lack of flavor. The tilapia, shrimp, and cream sauce kinda meld together with the melted cheese on top. Served with charro beans and rice. The charro beans are decent but seem to be on the same boat as everything else, more flavor. Tortillas are homemade with a decent flavor. Fajita Flameada with Chicken. 7/10 This dish is pretty good, the chicken was a bit overcooked but overall not too bad. The chorizo was ok but like everything else lacked any real flavor. This place is definitely not the worst place to eat but overall could use a flavor lift. The customer service was good, maybe a bit more attention to empty chips and salsa but still good. Give it a try, it might be up your alley.
