El Chalate is a lunch staple for me in the Denver area. How many places can you get a filling authentic meal for less than $10? Seems like those places are disappearing quickly from the Denver food scene while Chalate continues to be a working person’s restaurant where you can order pupusas, tacos, enchiladas, chile relleno, burritos, and more. My go to is always the #1 combination which you can see in the photo. I love being able to get the chile relleno, beef burrito, and cheese enchilada in one order.
