I wanted to avoid restaurants in the tourist area in Merida. I found this restaurant 5 km away from Merida downtown. (eleven euros if you take a taxi). The owner was friendly and accommodating, I called a night before to make a reservation and then two hours before my reservation to push it an hour later (walking tour took longer than expected). He did it with not issues. I ordered a pitcher of rebujito. They did not have it in their menu but he was kind to make it happen for me and my friends. Delicious food on front of a lake, nice view relaxing environment. Rich food and home made cheese tart.
Dropped in here whilst walking the Via de la Plata. Wow what a spot for a coffee and great coffee it was. Beautiful location and great service. Super friendly. If you are walking the VdlP make sure you drop in and enjoy the beautiful views and friendly service and definitely the great coffee.
El lugar es precioso, a orillas del embalse, muy buen ambiente, hemos comido muy bien, el churrasco de pollo y el ibėrico están buenísimos. El personal muy atento y encantadores. Los postres caseros, serranilla portuguesa y tarta de queso excelentes. Repetiremos
Hemos pedido,patatas con jamón y resulta que eran con jamón York,pero es que no siendo así,el jamón,no se lo han enseñado. Cabe resaltar que el servicio,el ambiente y la ubicación de lujo. Pero.....

We came here on a tour with high expectations and we were not disappointed. The staff was VERY accommodating to our every wish. This place is way off the beaten path but very worth a journey!!!
Precioso chiringuito a la orilla del embalse de proserpina. Situación idílica y muy buen ambiente. Se admiten mascotas en el chiringuito pero no bañarlos en el embalse.
Como ha cambiado..... Tres camareros que atienden más a sus compañeras que a los clientes. Sigue siempre un lugar expectacular, pero debería mejorar el servicio.
La comida estaba muy rica, los camareros muy amables. Lo único malo era que nos picaron muchos mosquitos. Hay que llevarse un spray o algún otro repelente.
