El Coyote Southwestern Grill

El Coyote is simply DELICIOUS! We made our reservation because it was recommended but found that it wasn't as crowded as we had anticipated (which was good). The server was such an amazing an update young girl who gave us awesome recommendations! We tried the sampler platter which included steak and cilantro empanandas, coconut shrimp, tequila lime chicken fingers and stuffed jalapeños and EVERYTHING was amazing! The salsas and chips were also so very homemade and authentic and the guacamole was to die for! Needless to say we were already heading towards being stuffed but we had to order entrees! large Mexican cuisine in s jersey?. I grew up in California and spent some time in mexiko. So when I say this is a good authentic Mexican food, they take my word for it I had the black Mahi-mahi tacos. they were fantastic! Just like something I would expect in a restaurant in san diego. they work with a distributor in north jersey to get the right ingredients, and their chef is by mexiko itself. so are the recipes they would find in mexiko the atmosphere is fun with all kinds of old pictures and ceramics. only one thing that was missing was a funny music. I have eating twice here, both times take out, and both times very good in taste and size portion, I had the taco salad very crispy shell and fillings very tasteful, the shrimp and crab saute' done nicely, not under or over cooked, also the pork El coyote, would recommend for those who like Mexican food

New favorite mexican spot! cute tiny little place with great atmosphere! waitress was very friendly and helpful. being a picky eater, it was very easy to adjust to my tastes. love!!! must go!!!
