This was the first visit to this restaurant after several recommendations from many a local taxi driver. We chose the steak cooked on a hot rock with the steak being presented to us before it was cooked. The meal was super but actually the welcome we received was the best part of the evening from the moment we arrived on a quite Saturday night at 8.30pm. Of course by the time we left at 11pm it was just warming up. The food was excellent from the warm bread, the steak and the deserts....and the house wine at about 9 euro was also good value as is most Catalan wine. For a nice place away from the tourist beach area this is a super place with homely local service and great food. Make the effort and give it a try....
What a pleasant meal we had at the elefante today! The chipirones are excellent, so is the meat which is cooked on a 300 degree hot stone on your table. We also had a smaller dish of nasi goreng which was excellent. Staff is discreet and charming. You must try the sangria de cava, I've never had one as good as theirs. Will definitively return!
