This place was terrible, the food was completely awful! My husband and I looked online for a place that had great reviews for authentic Mexican food. We just moved here from Visalia so thought we?d try a place out in Exeter. The reviews were completely deceiving and the food was disgusting. We ordered 2 shrimp cocktails, 2 asada tacos and asada fries. The shrimp cocktails.. let?s just say they should change the name to ?tomato cocktail?, this tomato cocktail had 5 shrimp! I also love this place when the restaurant was under another owner. Food is great and amazing customer service. Fast and delicious food. You can go and go, or you can dive. They also offer delivery that is fantastic. I recommend this place. It is located in downtown so after you walk around and see the amazing wall paintings Exeter has some Mexican food. It's under a new name, but amazing food.
This place is local to Exeter. It's small but had no problem being seated. Ordered carne asada burritos ?. Large and filled with beans, rice, and carne asada ?. The food is good, so I will give it two stars. The owner, however, is not a very nice man. Especially in a small town like Exeter, he needs to learn how to be respectful. Update 10/9/22: Seems they have new owners.

Absolutely authentic delicious Mexican cuisine. Excellent salsa bar, fish/shrimp tacos, breakfast specials, large selection for small restaurant. Very clean restroom
Consistently excellent food. The service is both efficient and friendly. The atmosphere is average, but it doesn't take away from the fantastic dining experience.
The pozole is fantastic! I really enjoy the salsa bar! I was advised to add the spicy cucumber and onion to my pozole, and it turned out to be an amazing choice!
We really enjoy dining at El Nuevo. The service is excellent, and the food is always fresh. They serve the best shrimp cocktail in the Valley!
