I ordered takeout from El Pelón Taqueria for the third time tonight, and the experience was just as excellent as before. Food: 5/5. We began with chips, guacamole, and fire-roasted salsa. The chips are thick and perfectly salted. The guacamole is consistently delicious, and the fire-roasted salsa offers a warm, smoky flavor with just the right amount of heat. We also tried both the chicken and fish burritos, both of which were outstanding—especially the fish burrito, which is a rare find at a fast-casual spot. El Pelón Taqueria is a popular spot among Boston College students, and it has become even better for me since they included vegan cheese on the menu. The food is consistently fresh, although the line can get long depending on the time of day. The chips and guacamole are perfect for a snack or can even make a full meal. El Pelón Taqueria is an excellent choice for vegans, as many of the meat dishes on the menu can be easily adapted to fit plant-based diets.
While moving my daughter into BC, we decided to try some Mexican food, and it was a great choice! The restaurant is conveniently located just down the street from the BC campus. It's a small but pleasant spot, and the food was fresh and delicious. I will definitely stop by again when visiting BC for their fantastic food! My colleagues from out of town and I ordered eight burritos, and they were all amazing! The ingredients were fresh and flavorful, the seasonings were spot on, and the sauces and guacamole were excellent. We were very impressed with the service, the quality of the food, the pricing, and how quickly they prepared everything.
There are some good options for an omnivorous place. I believe the cheese they use is Daiya, and I found my burrito to be pretty decent! While I wouldn’t specifically go out of my way for this spot, it was a great choice when I needed something quick.
Their food is truly addictive. It's not necessarily impressive at first bite, but it really grows on you over time. It's one of the most beloved restaurants in the community.
The tacos are just okay. The carnitas were dry, and the cucumbers didn’t really enhance the flavor of the tacos. The fish tacos were decent, as were the carne asada tacos.

The tacos are quite good, and the service is fast. However, the wait can be a bit lengthy, and the line tends to take up a lot of space in the restaurant.
