El Penon - Réservation de table

We were with our perrete yesterday. We could be with him on the terrace, with spectacular views. We were going to take a reed and we ended up taking two and eating. the very good food, we ask tataki, the chiirones, the octopus to the diabla and some zamburiñas. everything was about death. Hoy probamos el bacalao al estilo peñón y estaba de escándalo, de entrantes esas croquetas de cocido y de cachón mixtas ambas caseras no se puede ponerles un pero. El bacalao como plato principal acompañado por unas coliflores encurtidas en granadinas y encurtidas en algún licor negro…. No me acuerdo pero estaban muy ricas y la piel del bacalao tipo snacks crujiente todo un acierto. Ahora estamos esperando el queso de la zona de potes y estoy segura que no nos defraudan. Sitio para disfrutar mejor entre semana porque el servicio es excelente. En finde andan más apretados porque todos queremos ya y ahora. Así que si puedes entre semana.

On our cycling tour around Santander we arrived at Penon CQ at lunchtime on the last day of October not expecting anything open. What a delight and a wonderful welcome. A taste of true northern Spain. No English menu but an intimate experience trying to work out what to have after a cooling beer. The owner sent for her young daughter who learns English at school and she was a wonder. The subsequent food was delicious and set us up just right for the remainder of our tour. Next time in Santander, we will certainly return.

I visited Peñon CQ while en route to Santiago on the Camino del Norte. Took the coastal route out of Santiago, and when I stopped here on the way was given the warmest of welcomes. Coffee was wonderful, and the service so good. Owner was also very helpful in giving me a lift to my albergue as it was late in the day and didn’t have time to walk all the way. Plus his daughter was very kind and spoke great English. If you’re on the Camino del Norte make sure to stop at this bar! Réservez une table maintenant

Hemos estado varias veces comiendo. La experiencia muy positiva. Todo el personal super amable. Todo lo que hemos comido hasta el momento, buenísimo. Las rabas, mejillones en salsa, ventresca de atún con pimientos asados, nachos con cochinita pilbil, ensaladilla y ventresca de bonito a la plancha, esta última espectacular. No hay duda, volveremos.

We stayed for a week at the beach in Soto De La Marina not far from this wonderful restaurant. The staff were very hospitable and the seafood exceptional, my favorite was the chopped shrimp and the grilled squid was to die for. One of the best seafood restaurants I have ever been to. Thank you, just beautiful

Excelente servicio. El plato estrella es el pulpo. Duro para mi gusto. La tarta de queso buenísima. He venido en otras ocasiones y siempre he estado a gusto. Se trata de descubrir tus platos favoritos. Seguiré viniendo para encontrarlos. Cuando el servicio y la intención es buena es obligado volver. GRACIAS.

Restaurante correcto. Servicio correcto, en una buena terraza y con unas vistas agradables. Buena ración de Rabas. Comida aceptable.
