Being part of a large group visiting the region, one of our number had the foresight to book this restaurant and we were pleased he did. I always feel for the staff of a restaurant when a group of 30 souls descends on the establishment...all at once, the food and service invariably suffers, but not this day ! The service was friendly and efficient and the food was great. My menu consisted of a fantastically flavoursome canneloni (with bechamel) to start followed by truly melt in your mouth beef cheeks with a super bavarois with a crispy sugar top, all first rate and € 27 for the menu very good value . my experience in this restaurant was terrible! I visited there with 4 friends, only a Catalan speaker, we spoke in Spanish and English at the table and the waiter insisted to speak in Catalan, even if we responded to Spanish, I traveled...more place and in the rule, when they try in a restaurant people to communicate with them on a better way, I felt totally disrespected! I also ordered a plate that was fat and burned, terrible experience!
We ate here twice on a recent visit to Camprodon. The 17 euro menu del dia' includes 3 courses, water and bread. Wine extra but there's a decent selection at reasonable prices. You can sit out with a better view of the old bridge or...eat indoors. The food is fresh, imaginative Catalan cuisine, well presented. Service was friendly and efficient. Overall, excellent value for money.
We wanted to have dinner here. Like many places in Camprodon at the end of June, beginning of July, it was closed for holidays. Be aware, Camprodon closes in June/July. You willl see the word Tancat' (closed) everywhere and it will be very difficult to...find somewhere to eat.
